The Collingwood Football Club is pleased to unveil its 2026 SDNR guernsey, designed by 11-year-old Noongar Yamatji artist Jed Bennell and inspired by the story of Magpies forward Bobby Hill.

The guernsey reflects the journey of Whadjuk-Ballardong Noongar man Hill – from Western Australia through New South Wales to his current home in Victoria – while celebrating his football achievements and recognising his family and community.

In the centre of the guernsey on the front are two grass trees, representing Hill’s two sons. Taken as design elements from Hill’s tattoos, the grass trees signify strength, resilience and connection to country.

Surrounding them are layered, ring patterns that reflect the support of family, community, Collingwood Football Club, Members and supporters.

On the top right are two stars representing Hill’s Norm Smith Medal and Premiership. Along the bottom of the jumper are three circular elements that mark Hill’s journey, from Western Australia (childhood) to New South Wales (GWS GIANTS) and to Victoria (Collingwood).

On the back of the guernsey, the design is replicated with Bennell incorporating additional symbols and elements inspired by Hill’s tattoos – a gathering, kangaroo, grass tree, emu, boomerang and goanna.
