Celebrate culture, connection and the story behind Collingwood’s 2026 Indigenous design with the Collingwood Nike AFLW Unisex Indigenous Guernsey.
The guernsey features the same artwork created for Collingwood’s 2026 AFL Men’s Sir Doug Nicholls Round guernsey, designed by 11-year-old Noongar Yamatji artist Jed Bennell and inspired by the story of Magpies forward Bobby Hill.
The design reflects the journey of Whadjuk-Ballardong Noongar man Hill – from Western Australia, through New South Wales and to his current home in Victoria – while celebrating his football achievements and recognising the importance of family and community.
At the centre of the design are two grass trees representing Hill’s two sons. Inspired by elements of Hill’s tattoos, the grass trees signify strength, resilience and connection to Country. Layered ring patterns surrounding them represent the support of family, community, the Collingwood Football Club, Members and supporters.
Two stars recognise Hill’s Norm Smith Medal and Premiership, while three circular elements along the bottom represent his journey from Western Australia, to New South Wales with the GWS GIANTS, and finally to Victoria with Collingwood. The design continues on the back with additional symbols inspired by Hill’s tattoos, including a gathering, kangaroo, grass tree, emu, boomerang and goanna.
